AMAZON: 3 Favorite Toys for Active Kids

I am always looking for ways to keep my kids active. The 3 Amazon toys featured in this blog post are ones that are tried and true to keep them active daily, and they have never grown bored of them.

(1) Teeter Totter SeeSaw -This toy is fun and allows my children to play together. When you flip the teeter totter over, children can crawl under it. My kids burn a lot of energy playing on the teeter totter, but they are also building muscle and working on balance.

(2) Wooden Balance Beam- Speaking of balance, this balance beam has been a favorite of my kids. They love taking turns walking across, and sometimes running across!

(3) Sit and Spin - I amazed at how my kids can spin on this toy and never seem to get dizzy!

While my children often go right to these toys because they enjoy playing with them, there are times when I prompt them to engage with these toys. Here are some ways to prompt your children to use these toys:

When they seem restless and need an energy outlet (e.g., before naptime). I would set a timer for use so that it burns energy and does not create a second wave of heightened energy.
When they need to regulate emotions, I often redirect them to the balance beam because it required so much focus. I find their brain switches from upset to a much happier state.
On rainy days, when they can get easily bored, I set up energy burning stations in the playroom and they take turns using these toys and others.

AMAZON: The Most Comfy Chair For Kids

As a work-from-home mom of four stay-at-home kids, this chair has been a game changer for me! The sherpa fabric is super soft and there is a pocket on the side where my kids put their books, cups, and/or toys. Here are a few of the best ways my kids have used this chair :

To read or watch a show on their tablet .
As flexible seating during homeschool time.
To quietly read or play with toys while I am working.

My best mom hack is using this chair on the days my kids do not want to take a nap. You can easily pull the back of the chair down into a lounger style. My kids love to put a comfy pillow and blanket down, and they fall fast asleep!
